Nick's First Father's Day

Happy Father's Day Nick... You are an amazing man, great husband, and now a doting father! I'm so proud of you!

For some reason I can't get the video to save on the blog... so just click on the link...

Whistlers from Canada

At the beginning of June we had Nate, Nick's long time and I mean LONG time slash best friend come into town for a visit along with his wife Karen. They stayed for almost a week and got to poke around the city. It was really nice to have them here for such a long time. Just to be able to catch up on life with them and being able to talk baby with Karen (since she's pregnant) was also a treat! On the Tuesday before Nate turned 30 we convinced him to do something CRAZY on the last day of his twenties. He and Nick went skydiving! Nate was a little bit nervous about doing it but, this was Nick's 5th dive and he claims it's still a rush. I don't know about that but, here are some pictures I took from that day. Thanks again for coming all this way Nate & Karen it was so so so nice to see you!

Pre-dive

And they're off...

Let the bodies hit the floor!

That's right Iceman I am dangerous.

Post dive

Little Dipper

A few weeks ago we trooped on down to the neighborhood pool and decided it was time to put little Ben in the water. Not just feet this time but, at least get a good portion of him submerged. We wanted to go in with him for his sake and for our since it was so hot that day! After we got him in he ended up not crying but, just whimpering a little. He clung on tight to Dad and wouldn't dream of letting go! We'll try it again I'm determined by the end of the summer this boy will like the water.

Daddy's Airplane

Ever since Ben was a little boy he has always liked Nick's airplane. You can wind it up and it plays a tune. It's awfully cute. When Ben used to cry on the changing table Nick would wind it and Ben would stop crying almost instantly! Now he likes it not just for the song but, to actually play with it and eat it.

Unca' Dave Came to Visit

On Sunday we found out that Uncle Dave was coming to visit on Tuesday. Dave has been pretty hands on with his little nephew. Playing toys and rescuing from the high chair when Mommy couldn't get there fast enough! Dave also found his childhood favorite book... 'Cars and Trucks and Things that Go'. He sat and read/looked at that book for a good half hour!

Trouble Makers

Yesterday Ben's friend Hunter came over to play and they were both being so funny. They are both sitting up now so we were able to snap a few funny ones. Hunter is a talker, roller, and mover while Ben is a sitter and watcher. It's funny to see these two in action! (Ben 7 mos. 2 Wks. & Hunter 5 mos. 1 Wk.)

Hunter is talking loudly and Ben doesn't quite know what to make of it.

I love this picture.

I wanna touch the buttons.

They are so hands on!

Solar Eclipse

On the evening of the solar eclipse we trooped on down to the neighborhood park and parked a blanket by a tree and waited for a grand eclipse. We really didn't go prepared with crazy glasses or anything to view the sun/moon but, we did get to see little crescent shaped shadows on us and Nick tried to snap a picture of the sun. If you look close at it you can tell it's a little misshapen. It was fun though and it was a nice night for it!

Look close you can see it!

Crazy crescent shadows all over me!

Having a good time.
